“Layla” is now the official summer hit of the year – but the sexism debate about the controversial Ballermann song does not stop. Heinz Strunk (50) and other writers have now written their own Mallorca songs at the request of the “Zeit” magazine. The author of “Meat is My Vegetables” even went one step further and sang his song “Breit in 100 Seken” (Broad in 100 Seconds) and shot a music video for it.

The clip can be seen on the “Zeit Online” YouTube channel. Strunk celebrates in it on the beach at Hohwacht on the Baltic Sea. “Broad in 100 seconds, I let it run into all holes / then I stay wide for a hundred hours, always just drinking drinking drinking”, is the exaggerated song text, among other things. “Love is a feeling, so is thirst / I’m guilty, guilty because sober.”

He’s not the only writer the “Zeit” magazine asked for a “new hit for the Ballermann season”. Carla Kaspari (*1991), author of “Freizeit”, wrote the song “Gurke, Döner, Doppelreime”. It says something like: “Because this is just Malle / This is about tourism for us / And no, there is no sexism here / Please don’t start with something like that / Two stanzas long, at the Ballermann.”

Wladimir Kaminer (55) wrote “Toxic Men’s World”. “Without all the men / it would be much more pleasant / she snitches and screams and torments / the toxic male world,” reads the lyrics. The writer became famous outside of Germany, among other things, through his collection of stories “Russendisko”.

Jan Weiler (54), known for “Maria, he doesn’t like it!”, wrote the “Police Song (Tatüüüütataaaa)”, which says: “One beer is not enough / Two are harmless / The fun starts with three / Four is the minimum / And nothing rhymes with five / We know all the tricks / Six, seven, eight / Now the demolition is done.”

After all, Mirna Funk (*1981) wrote the song “Egal wie grell” together with her daughter Etta. “Open your eyes, no matter how bright / bright / heavy heart / short life / deep sea,” reads an excerpt from it.

Felix Lobrecht (33) and Tommi Schmitt (33) had fun writing their own Ballermann hit with Ikke Hipgold (45) before the “Layla” debate last year.

As a duo, the stars of the “Gemischtes Hack” podcast performed the party song “The gherkin comes in below” even in the Bierkönig on Mallorca. “Malle is only once a year / Unless you drive more often / And if mistress doesn’t want to come with you anymore / Other mothers also have beautiful daughters,” says the lyrics.
