Fürth (dpa / lby) – Inflation in Bavaria continues to rise. In July, consumer prices rose by one percent compared to the previous month, as the State Statistics Office announced on Thursday. Consumer prices were 8 percent higher than a year earlier. In June, the increase was 7.9 percent.

Household energy including electricity and gas rose by 47.2 percent year-on-year. Household energy also includes heating oil, which was more than twice as expensive as in July 2021. Fuel was 24.4 percent more expensive, food 14.7 percent.
