Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – The North Rhine-Westphalian school minister Dorothee Feller (CDU) recommends wearing corona protective masks voluntarily in the classes and other indoor areas in the new school year. This emerges from a letter to the parents distributed on Thursday, which is available to the German Press Agency in Düsseldorf. In addition, safety distances should continue to be maintained to protect against infection.
In addition, the country will provide antigen self-tests that will be distributed through the schools, the letter said. It is therefore planned that the pupils will test themselves at home if they have relevant symptoms such as a cough, cold or sore throat and, if necessary, not go to school.
At noon Feller wanted to inform the public in Düsseldorf about further framework conditions for the start of school after the summer holidays on August 10th.
