Even after the Ford Group said no to future car production in Saarland, Saar Prime Minister Anke Rehlinger (SPD) is convinced of the future of Saarlouis as an industrial location. “The strengths that this location has are not gone just because Ford didn’t want to see them for themselves,” Rehlinger told the German Press Agency. This is well recognized by other interested parties: “We are also having acute and current talks,” said Rehlinger. The decisive question is when which areas previously used by Ford will be available.
