Kassel (dpa / lhe) – Two strangers tried to break into a jewelry store in Kassel with an ax on Tuesday night. The burglary failed and they fled without taking anything, police said. One perpetrator threw a stone slab into the shop window. His accomplice then tried to destroy the roller shutter behind the broken pane with an ax. This was not successful, whereupon the two fled without booty. They caused damage of around 5000 euros.
