Halle/Goslar (dpa/sa) – Travelers in Saxony-Anhalt have to be prepared for restrictions in train traffic from Wednesday. The routes in and through the Harz are particularly affected, as the transport company Abellio (Halle) announced on Monday. The reason for this is the short-term scheduled repair work on the rail network. Rail replacement traffic is only possible to a limited extent. Travelers are therefore asked to switch to other routes or means of transport.

According to the information, the train service between Halberstadt and Goslar will be stopped on Tuesday from 11 a.m. This affects the regional express lines RE 4 Halle (Saale) – Goslar and RE 21 Magdeburg – Goslar and the Harz-Berlin-Express HBX, which runs at weekends.

According to Abellio, trains will no longer be able to run between Aschersleben and Halberstadt from Wednesday. The trains of the regional express lines RE 4 Halle (Saale) – Goslar and RE 24 Halle (Saale) – Halberstadt then only run between Halle and Aschersleben. The journeys of the RB 44 Aschersleben – Halberstadt are omitted.

In addition, the section between Stassfurt and Güsten will be closed to train traffic from Wednesday. Therefore, the trains on line RE 10 Magdeburg – Erfurt only run between Magdeburg and Staßfurt or between Erfurt and Güsten. The regional train line RB 41 Magdeburg – Aschersleben only runs between Magdeburg and Stassfurt, as Abellio announced.
