Schwerin (dpa/mv) – With relief for companies, the FDP parliamentary group in the Schwerin state parliament wants to avert an impending decline in economic output in the state. “Depreciation options must be improved, taxes lowered, tax reserves released,” said economic policy spokeswoman Sandy van Baal on Monday in Schwerin.
She also called for a debureaucratization package. “Pointless regulations and directives hinder the economy and slow down important investments. That’s why we from the FDP parliamentary group say: Get rid of it!” said van Baal.
The Ifo Institute had previously published its nationwide business climate index for July. At 88.6 points, the value was at its lowest level since June 2020. The companies cited the high energy prices and the expected gas shortage as the main reasons for the bad mood. “Germany is on the threshold of recession,” commented Ifo President Clemens Fuest.
