Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – Districts and urban districts in Saxony-Anhalt can look forward to an additional one million euros for youth work. The money is intended for extracurricular youth education, youth work, international youth work and child and youth recreation, said the Ministry of Social Affairs on Friday in Magdeburg.
Six municipalities have already received a total of almost 382,500 euros, six districts for offers in the current summer holidays have received “permission for the early start of measures”. According to the information, the extra financial tip is also intended to honor the commitment of youth work organisations, who would have shown a lot of commitment, especially at the height of the pandemic.
