Several masked men attacked and shot at a money transporter in Cologne on Friday. A police spokesman said no one was injured. According to the current status, it is assumed that the four to five perpetrators would not have made any loot. How many shots were fired is the subject of the investigation. The money transporter had several bullet holes in the armored glass windshield.

According to the police, the perpetrators braked the van around 7.30 a.m. in the Marienburg district. When the doors were not opened, the strangers are said to have fired. The police were initially unable to say how many security guards were in the money transporter. The perpetrators left one of the two perpetrator vehicles behind and set it on fire. They fled in a dark Mercedes Vito.

The police searched for the perpetrators extensively in the morning, also with a helicopter. The crime scene was surveyed with a drone, and forensics were on site.
