At the end of the second week of vacation, one of the busiest weekends of the vacation season is approaching in northern Germany. Since, with the exception of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, all federal states are now on summer vacation, a particularly large number of travelers are expected to be on the road between Friday and Sunday, according to the ADAC. The Autobahn 1 between Bremen and Lübeck and the Autobahn 7 in the south are particularly affected. The traffic jams are mostly caused by construction sites along the highway. It’s supposed to be particularly crowded on Friday afternoons and Saturdays.
