Pfaffenhausen (dpa / lby) – In the Unterallgäu, a free-ranging herding dog attacked and seriously injured a five-year-old. According to the police, the mother had picked up the girl from the kindergarten in Pfaffenhausen on Wednesday when the big dog came from a property and bit the child several times. The mother was also bitten on the leg.
The woman and her daughter went to a hospital, where a doctor informed the police. The officials initiated proceedings against the dog owner on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm. The authorities will also check the keeping conditions of the herding dog, the police reported on Thursday.
