Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – VfB Stuttgart will have to do without football professionals Nikolas Nartey and Tanguy Coulibaly in the coming weeks. Both injured themselves in training on Wednesday, the Bundesliga team announced on Thursday. The Danish U21 international and midfielder Nartey suffered a ligament injury in his left ankle. French attacking player Coulibaly suffered a bony injury to his big toe. Neither of them need to be operated on, but they are expected to be out for three to four weeks.
Nartey and Coulibaly will miss the start of the season with the first round of the DFB Cup at third division Dynamo Dresden (July 29) and will probably also miss the start of the Bundesliga on August 7 at home against RB Leipzig.
