Tübingen (dpa / lsw) – A few months before the mayor election in Tübingen, incumbent Boris Palmer offers himself as a guest for a barbecue party. In a post on his YouTube channel, which currently has 16 subscribers, a film can be seen in which barbecued food chars at a garden party. A guest asks: “What do we do now?”. In the next shot, Palmer sits on a grill and says, “Grill the OB.” With the campaign, he advertises to be invited to barbecue parties from August 8th.
“You’re having a barbecue party with over 15 guests, perfect. Invite Lord Mayor Boris Palmer to you and pester him with questions,” says a woman’s voice in the background. Palmer captioned the clip, “I’m bringing a case of Freistil beer as a thank you for inviting me.” The mayoral election is on October 23. The 50-year-old is running for a third term.
