A 20-year-old woman was killed in a collision involving a car, a pedicab and her vehicle on a south London street.

On Sunday, emergency services were called to the scene of the accident at 04:10 BST on New Kent Road in Southwark.

The woman died at the scene despite receiving treatment. The Met confirmed that her family was informed.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested by police on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of alcohol.

After sustaining a broken arm, the pedicab driver was taken to hospital.

Buses are diverted and road closures are in effect.
