Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – At Frankfurt Airport, travelers again had to expect considerable delays on Saturday. According to the airport operator Fraport, there were sometimes long waiting times – especially at baggage claim. However, the feared chaos did not materialize, said a spokeswoman for the company.
According to this, around 1290 take-offs and landings were planned, which roughly corresponds to the number of flight movements from the previous day. Around 180,000 passengers were expected at Germany’s largest airport. The airport operator recommended travelers to plan enough time for the journey and to be at the check-in counter at least two and a half hours before departure.
There had already been no unusual disruptions on Friday. After the main customer Lufthansa canceled further connections, Fraport reported regular operations in the terminals and on the airside.
