The firefighters of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence intervened at the end of the morning on Saturday July 9 to rescue an adult and three children in the waters of the Durance at the level of the town of Volonne.

After their canoe was overturned, the small group held on to branches. The boats of the aquatic rescue crew and firefighters from Sisteron (Peyruis), Chateau-Arnoux, and Sisteron) were involved. The victims were unharmed, but they were refrigerated. They were then taken care of at 1 p.m. and returned to the Volonne nautical station.
