Weil der Stadt (dpa/lsw) – Three women were injured when an ethanol bottle exploded at a garden party, two of them seriously. The explosion in Weil der Stadt (Böblingen district) occurred because a man wanted to fill an ethanol burner, the police said on Saturday. The 38-year-old did not notice that it was still burning. The ethanol bottle caught fire and exploded. Rescue workers took the 33, 45 and 66-year-old women to various hospitals late Friday evening. In addition to the fire brigade and police, a rescue helicopter was deployed.
