The Nomade Reggae Festival will celebrate its seventh anniversary after a delay due to the 2020 health crisis and a cancellation 2021. It will be held in Chambery, starting at 8 p.m. on Sunday 7 August.
The program features heavyweights from this music, which was born in Jamaica in 1960s and has since become universal: Groundation, Clinton Fearon (Danakil), Tiken Jah Fakoly and Groundation. A festival village will also be held at the Lighthouse’s exterior.
The organizers chose Chambery’s large room after six successful editions in Haute-Savoie. Their festival is committed to international solidarity and in particular to support the construction of a Mali socio-medical literacy center. Chambery was chosen by the organizers because they didn’t have the support, audience or equipment they needed.
