Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – With difficulty, VfB Stuttgart won its second test match in the pre-season with 3: 2 (1: 0) against the third division SV Wehen Wiesbaden. The Austrian national striker Sasa Kalajdzic, who will probably leave the Bundesliga soccer club, scored 1-0 on Wednesday on a pitch at the VfB club center in the 14th minute. After Wehen’s Brooklyn Ezeh equalized in the meantime with a free kick from 25 meters (72′), Mateo Klimowicz on his 22nd birthday made it 2-1 with a dust collector just a minute later (73′). Storm talent Alou Kuol increased the penalty to 3: 1 (84th), before guest player Dominik Prokop reduced the final score to 3: 2 (86th).
Coach Pellegrino Matarazzo was absent from the sidelines after a positive corona test. However, the 44-year-old followed the game in isolation at home via the cameras installed at the training ground, which VfB normally use for analysis purposes.
His three-man team were without captain Wataru Endo and defender Konstantinos Mavropanos, who joined the pre-season later. During the break, VfB made a complete change except for goalkeeper Fabian Bredlow. VfB won the first test on Saturday at state league club SV Böblingen 7-1.
