Steinhagen (dpa / lnw) – Two strangers stole jewelry from the window of a jewelry store in Steinhagen in the Gütersloh district on Wednesday morning. Shortly after midnight, residents informed the officials about loud bangs, the police said. Two suspects were also named by witnesses who fled after the burglary. According to the first findings of the officials, the suspects did not enter the store, but only destroyed the window of a display with a previously unknown explosive. No information could be given about the amount of the loot.
It’s the second incident in the jeweler’s business in quick succession. Already on May 15, strangers had tried to break into the store.
