Essen (dpa/lnw) – People in North Rhine-Westphalia initially expect sunny weather with few clouds on Tuesday, before showers are also possible in the afternoon. During the course of the day, thicker cloud fields move through the state from the north-west and the maximum temperatures rise to up to 25 degrees, as reported by the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach. On Wednesday night it will remain slightly cloudy. Furthermore, light showers are possible at lows of up to eight degrees and in the Eifel up to six degrees.

On Wednesday there will be a lot of clouds and towards the evening rain will move in from the north-west. The temperatures only rise up to 22 degrees. In the night on Thursday it rains at times with lows of up to ten degrees. Thursday will also be cloudy with rain, which will decrease towards the afternoon. The temperatures rise up to 24 degrees. In the mountains and in East Westphalia, strong gusts are possible at times. Friday night will be mostly dry and temperatures will drop to as low as eleven degrees and up to nine degrees at higher altitudes.
