Neuss (dpa / lnw) – Checking personal details is actually routine for the police – but in the case of a shoplifter in Neuss, it brought a lot to light: the 36-year-old was searched for with 39 arrest warrants. Such a number is “incredible,” said the police on Monday. The man had committed criminal offenses again and again – but the investigators were never able to apprehend him. The thieves tour on Friday in the shopping center in Neuss was then the 40th and last offense in this series for the time being. Employees caught the man and held him until police arrived. Now he is in prison.
