Rheinberg (dpa / lnw) – A man disguised with a corona protective mask attacked a gas station in Rheinberg in the Wesel district and threatened an employee with a knife. The man entered the sales room of the gas station on Sunday night and demanded cash from the 52-year-old, the police said on Sunday. After the employee handed him the receipts, he fled on foot. The 52-year-old was not injured, the police said.
Despite a search with a helicopter, the robber was initially not caught. He is said to be around 30 years old and slim. At the time of the crime, he is said to have been wearing dark sweatpants, a black hoodie and a black mouth and nose protector. The police are looking for witnesses.
