Lärz (dpa/mv) – During random checks of the journey to the Fusion Festival in Lärz (Mecklenburg Lake District), the federal police found dozens of violations, mostly against the Narcotics Act. During road traffic checks by Friday morning, 19 administrative offense reports were recorded on suspicion of driving under the influence of narcotics and 25 criminal charges for drug possession.

The approximately 15,000 festival visitors arriving in Neustrelitz were also randomly checked in the railway sector. 19 violations of the Narcotics Act and more than 900 grams of substances such as amphetamines, cannabis, cocaine and hallucinogenic mushrooms were found. A total of 8,425 LSD trips were also found, 8,200 of them in two men. These two 31- and 32-year-old men were taken into custody.

The Fusion Festival started on Wednesday. Up to 70,000 guests from Germany and abroad are expected by Sunday. You will be offered around 1150 acts on 40 stages. The festival is one of the largest alternative music and theater festivals in Europe. The police expect that there may be severe delays when departing on Sunday.
