Münster (dpa / lnw) – The Marxist-Leninist Party of Germany (MLPD) moved to the Higher Administrative Court (OVG) in Münster after a decision by the Düsseldorf Administrative Court in mid-May. At the end of June, the party applied for approval of the appeal, as a court spokeswoman told the dpa on Friday.

The MLPD had filed a complaint against a mention in the report by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution. There it was said in 2019 that the party was acting covertly at the municipal level and was using the electoral alliances called AUF (Alternative, Independent, Progressive) in Gelsenkirchen, Bergkamen, Neukirchen-Vluyn and Witten. The MLPD denied this.

However, the administrative court found the findings of the constitutional protection officers to be correct and how the lawsuit was dismissed. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia has presented sufficient evidence of personal, organizational and ideal similarities.
