Nuremberg (dpa / lby) – After a relationship dispute in Nuremberg, special forces arrested a 52-year-old on Thursday evening. He had argued with his 55-year-old ex-partner in the afternoon and threatened to shoot her with a crossbow when the police arrived, the police said in Central Franconia. However, the woman had already left the apartment building unharmed before police patrols got there.
Because of the man’s threat, the first emergency services then closed the area around the affected property. Officials from the Middle Franconian negotiation group and the special task force (SEK) were called in. Repeated attempts by the police to contact the man were unsuccessful.
SEK forces then entered the building around 8 p.m. and arrested the 52-year-old. He didn’t resist. Nobody got hurt. Now it is being checked whether the arrested person needs to be admitted to a specialist clinic because of his mental state.
