It wasn’t until mid-June that Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton announced big news: the couple got engaged. Now comes another piece of good news. The actress is pregnant. At a film premiere, she proudly shows off her baby bump.

Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton become parents. The 37-year-old showed off her baby bump at a screening of the film “Mr. Malcolm’s List” in New York City tonight. There she appeared on the red carpet in a beaded light tulle gown by Sabina Bilenko Couture. She combined sparkling silver pumps with the floor-length, shoulder-free robe.

Vogue magazine also reports on the actress’ pregnancy and features pictures of Zawe Ashton preparing for the event. Tom Hiddleston was not present at the event. Ashton was joined by her “Mr. Malcolm’s List” co-stars, Freida Pinto, Sope Dirisu and Theo James, along with director Emma Holly Jones, among others.

Hiddleston only confirmed his engagement to Zawe Ashton in mid-June. Rumors had previously surfaced after the actress was spotted wearing a suspicious ring at the BAFTA Awards in March. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, the “Loki” star spoke briefly about his relationship with his British actress colleague and said: “I’m very happy” when asked about his engagement.

Hiddleston and Ashton are said to have met while working together on the 2019 play Betrayal. However, they didn’t confirm their relationship until 2021. Hiddleston is known for keeping his personal life private.

The actor told The Telegraph newspaper in 2017: “My work is in the public sphere and I have a private life. And those two things are separate.” Two years later, he added in The New York Times: “I probably protect my insides in a different way now. That’s because I didn’t know before that it needed to be protected.” The decisive factor could have been a liaison with music star Taylor Swift in 2016, which made plenty of headlines.
