Paderborn (dpa / lnw) – A driver was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Paderborn without external influence. The man, who was later found to smell alcohol, drove unchecked over a curb and through a green verge before colliding with an electrical box and a tree, police said. The 68-year-old suffered serious injuries early Thursday morning. The car was totally damaged and towed away. Because of the smell of alcohol, a blood sample was ordered and criminal proceedings initiated.
