Lena Meyer-Landrut no longer wants to use her mobile phone. The reason for this is the flood of news that hits them every day. But the ESC winner already has a plan on how to deal with this problem in order to calm down more.
Lena Meyer-Landrut has always kept her private life top secret. It is only unofficially known that she lives with her “The Voice” colleague Mark Forster and that the couple had a child together in early 2021. Both stars have never commented publicly on this. The singer also only uses social media purely professionally. Again and again she even withdraws from Instagram for a while, now and then deleting all the photos uploaded there.
In an interview, the 31-year-old now explains her reasons for this. She sometimes feels overwhelmed by the internet and social media. “I feel more and more that I can no longer cope with too much information and stimuli. I need longer to recover and a lot more rest than a few years ago,” she told the German Press Agency. “That can be due to age or to the rapid developments in the world.”
She would actually like to give up her smartphone and social media, but not upload pictures and apps like Google Maps. “I haven’t had the heart to delete WhatsApp and Instagram yet, but I don’t think it will be long.” In this case, she will probably get a second cell phone that she uses for work and will simply call her friends. “But thousands of WhatsApp messages a day and group chats, that really drives me crazy.”
Lena Meyer-Landrut released her new song “Looking For Love” last week. But she is promoting this again vigorously on Instagram. So she has now uploaded some snapshots of herself, which she shows on the set of her video for the single.
At the beginning of April, the 2010 ESC winner canceled her tour planned for the summer because of Corona. “When I’ve made a decision, I’m very clear about it. Even if the feeling sometimes arises, I always ask myself whether I actually want to be on tour at the moment. And then I can answer that relatively quickly and with a clear gut feeling .” The time is not yet ripe.
