Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) – Second division soccer team Karlsruher SC brought in another attacker four days after signing Mikkel Kaufmann. Simone Rapp comes from FC Vaduz. The 29-year-old will receive a two-year contract, as announced by Baden on Sunday. In the previous season, Rapp scored 16 goals in 24 games in the Swiss Challenge League.

“He has the right measure and is an ideal complement to our attack,” said sporting director Oliver Kreuzer. “With him, along with Fabian Schleusener, Mikkel Kaufmann, Malik Batmaz and Stefano Marino, we’re now well positioned up front.”

After Philipp Hofmann left VfL Bochum, Kreuzer and coach Christian Eichner wanted to spread the responsibility across several shoulders. Rapp joined the team in Neukirchen am Großvenediger on Saturday evening and will start the first session of the training camp there this Sunday together with his new teammates.
