The 2023 Pride festivities in Madrid (MADO 2023) are celebrated this week. This Wednesday, June 28, the Pride proclamation will kick off several days of celebrations in the capital that will cause incidents and traffic interruptions.
While in the Chueca neighborhood there will be blackouts throughout the week (from Wednesday June 28 to Sunday July 2, both inclusive), the blackouts due to the Pride demonstration on Saturday July 1 will affect more areas of the capital. Likewise, some streets surrounding Callao and Plaza de España will be closed on time, where concerts will also be held.

As reported by the Madrid City Council, due to the preparations for the central manifestation of MADO Madrid Pride 2023, it is expected that from 9 a.m. on June 30 to 2 p.m. on July 2, 2023, traffic incidents will be recorded in:
For their part, the rest of the roads through which the central demonstration will take place (which will begin at 6:30 p.m.) such as Paseo del Prado, Plaza de Cibeles, Paseo de Recoletos, Plaza de Colón and even the Gran Vía, it is foreseeable that given the massive influx of public and the road cleaning work, there will be cuts and/or traffic restrictions that will last until the early hours of Sunday, July 2, 2023.
In the case of Paseo del Prado, the traffic cut could be extended until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2023 due to the traditional cut on Sundays.
Both the Plaza de España and the Plaza de Callao will host stages with performances and concerts for the Pride 2023 festivities. This will cause incidents and/or occasional traffic cuts.
