Three minors have been arrested, and another three are being investigated, by the National Police accused of alleged sexual assault, specifically for touching, three classmates in a concerted educational center in Badajoz, who was the one who denounced the facts and expelled to the students of the center as a precautionary measure. It is not ruled out that there are more victims.
Currently, all those involved are free with charges, and the investigation is already in charge of the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office in proceedings that date back to the 15th of this month and in which the minors involved would be between 14 and 17. years. The three detainees are charged with crimes related to sexual integrity. There are two other minors, the 14-year-olds, who cannot be charged because of their age. In addition, there is a student investigated, who has not been arrested. The facts denounced date back to the month of May.
It was a student allegedly assaulted who reported the events to the center’s guidance counselor and alerted them that some of her classmates were being harassed by other students.
At the beginning of the police investigations, agents from the Family and Women’s Care Unit of the National Police located the victims, who assured that the men had touched them.
For its part, the Junta de Extremadura has shown “caution” in the face of the incident and has indicated that once the relevant protocols are activated by the center, the case is in the hands of Justice, so “one must be respectful of to the procedure”.
In this sense, the regional administration has valued the work of the Virgen de Guadalupe concerted school, “which was the one who, faced with a detected conflict, decided to inform the Family and Women’s Care Units (UFAM) of the National Police.” In this sense, it has indicated that said educational center, which welcomes more than 1,100 students in its classrooms, “maintained the harassment protocol open and disciplined the students involved,” according to sources from the Board told Efe.
