Erfurt (dpa/th) – Three days before the start of the 45th Krämerbrückenfest, the Erfurt artist duo Susanna Hanna and Kai Siegel began hanging their art installation “Transition” on Tuesday. The transparent and colorful mesh is supposed to hover over the Krämerbrücke for a week. The artists depict opposites in the complementary colors red and green, meeting in the middle in the blue. The art installation has been an important element of the Krämerbrückenfest for eight years. Colorful umbrellas, boats, balloons, towels, flags and quotes from poets were already on display. The festival is considered the largest old town festival in Thuringia.
