Bautzen (dpa/sn) – The CDU politician Karsten Vogt is the new mayor of Bautzen. According to the preliminary election result, the headmaster received 53.9 percent of the votes, as the city announced on Sunday evening. Vogt thus replaces incumbent Alexander Ahrens (SPD), who suffered a crushing defeat with 14.3 percent of the vote and only finished third. The independent Andreas Thronicker received more votes (19.2 percent). Andrea Kubank (12.6 percent) for the left ended up in 4th place.
