Cologne (dpa / lnw) – The long-standing Bundesliga professional Marcel Risse will stay for another season with the third division soccer team Viktoria Köln. The 32-year-old signed a new contract one day before the start of training and is entering his third season with Viktoria. Risse has played 176 top division games for Bayer Leverkusen, 1. FC Nürnberg, FSV Mainz 05 and 1. FC Köln. In 2016 he scored the “Goal of the Year”. Last season he played 34 games for Viktoria, was captain and was involved in ten goals. He was born on the right bank of the Rhine, where the third division team is based.

In addition, Viktoria announced the commitment of striker André Becker on Sunday. The 25-year-old was last loaned out to the Würzburger Kickers by Jahn Regensburg.
