Blankenburg (dpa/sa) – The Michaelstein monastery in Blankenburg has further spruced itself up. The new open spaces are ready. The outdoor facility is intended to help attract even more guests to the region, as Secretary of State for Culture Sebastian Putz announced on Saturday. Around two million euros have been invested in the newly designed outdoor facility with the help of the European Union. Michaelstein Abbey in the Harz district is home to the state’s music academy and a museum of musical instruments. The former Cistercian monastery is used for concerts and events.
