Wachtberg (dpa / lnw) – A man was critically injured in an apartment fire in the Rhein-Sieg district. He was apparently surprised by the flames while he was sleeping, as reported by a spokesman for the fire brigade. A neighbor became aware of the fire and alerted the emergency services, who rescued the man from his apartment. According to the fire department, no other people were there. The cause of the fire was initially unknown.
