Stadtallendorf (dpa/lhe) – At a construction site on the controversial Autobahn 49 in central Hesse, previously unknown perpetrators caused damage in the six-figure range. The police in Marburg announced on Tuesday that they had stolen computers, hard drives and vehicle keys from an office container and destroyed fuses. During the crime on the Pentecost weekend near Stadtallendorf, lines were cut on wheel loaders and concrete mixers and tanks were drilled out. The gap closure of the A49 is highly controversial, in autumn 2020 there were massive protests from climate and environmental protection groups.
