Mercedes-Benz, a German carmaker, is recalling almost one million vehicles because of a possible brake problem. The Federal Transport Authority (KBA), announced Saturday.
The KBA stated that a corrosion of the brake booster could, in the most extreme case, lead to a break in connection between brake pedal and brake system. She added that the service brake could in such cases stop working. The Servo brake is a device that increases the force applied on the master cylinder.
According to a Saturday evening press release, these are models from 2004 to 2015.
According to the KBA, 993,407 vehicles have been recalled around the world, with 70,000 of them in Germany. Mercedes-Benz did no immediate response to AFP’s request.
