Johanniskirchen (dpa / lby) – A driver tried to overtake a truck in Lower Bavaria despite oncoming traffic and almost caused a head-on collision. Then he committed a hit-and-run. The still unknown man had overlooked the car of a 29-year-old who was coming towards him on Friday near Johanniskirchen (Rottal-Inn district) when trying to overtake, the police said on Saturday.
The 29-year-old was able to narrowly avoid the hard shoulder, but touched a delineator in the process. Instead of stopping, the other driver fled. Everyone involved was unharmed. It is determined because of hit-and-run.
