Munich (dpa / lby) – FC Bayern Munich has officially opened its third foreign office. The German soccer champions want to “reach even better” fans in Southeast Asia, India and Oceania from Bangkok, as he announced on Wednesday. “The office in Bangkok is an important step for FC Bayern. Our roots are in Munich and Bavaria, but our goal is a sustainable, direct exchange with our fans around the world,” said CEO Oliver Kahn. The New York office opened in 2014 and the Shanghai office in 2017.

“Football brings people together and we’re delighted to be able to make our club and what it stands for even more accessible to the millions of supporters across Southeast Asia,” said Kahn. There are currently 39 FC Bayern fan clubs in Southeast Asia. The people of Munich have already organized tournaments or courses in the region. In 2017, the summer tour stopped in Singapore for a guest appearance by the professionals, and in 2000 FC Bayern played a friendly against the Thai national team.
