Schwerin (dpa / mv) – After a truck collided with a truck-mounted crane in Schwerin, the police are investigating the 43-year-old truck driver. There is a suspicion of negligent bodily harm, said a police spokeswoman on Tuesday. The truck driver is said to have given way to the truck-mounted crane on Monday in the Göhrener Tannen business park in the south of the city, which resulted in a collision. An expert is still to find out the exact cause.
In the collision, the 38-year-old crane driver was trapped in his driver’s cab. He was taken out by comrades from the fire brigade and taken to a clinic by ambulance with life-threatening injuries. But he should be accessible.
The damage was estimated at around 250,000 euros. The truck was loaded with powdered milk. The road was closed for several hours until midnight to allow the heavily damaged vehicles to be recovered.
