Leipzig (dpa / sn) – The police in Leipzig dug up a drug depot with 73 kilograms of marijuana. In a vacant commercial property in the Altlindenau district, the officers found several boxes and a bag with a “green plant substance,” the police department said on Monday. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be marijuana. The investigation into the origin of the drugs would have led to a 38-year-old. It was said that he had already been noticed with a larger quantity of marijuana during an earlier inspection.
The drug discovery is dated March 19th. When asked why the police are only now going public with this, reference was made to extensive investigations. Police say the suspect was in custody at the time the drug was found.
