Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – The Hessian Greens parliamentary group has invited the outgoing Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (CDU) to its parliamentary group meeting. The CDU and the Greens have governed Hesse in a coalition since 2014. After the meeting in the parliamentary group this Tuesday in Wiesbaden, Prime Minister Bouffier, the Greens parliamentary group leader Mathias Wagner and Vice Prime Minister and Economics Minister Tarek Al-Wazir (Greens) will make a statement (12.15 p.m.).
On May 31, the Hessian state parliament elects a new prime minister. The incumbent president of the state parliament, Boris Rhein (CDU), is to succeed Bouffier at the head of the state government.
