Rafa Nadal, who does not have special sympathy for his great Novak Djokovic rival, has affirmed this Thursday that the Serbian tennis player must assume the consequences of not having vaccinated against the Coronavirus.

The number one of the world tennis was retained by the border police upon arrival in Australia on Wednesday, and its visa was canceled by not complying with the requirements related to Vaccination against Covid to enter the country.

Djokovic, which can be expelled from the country, filed a resource to stay and dispute since January 17, the Australian Open, where both he and Spanish aspire to win a 21st Grand Slam title.

Nadal contracted the Covid last month and affirms that the vaccine is the best way to stop a pandemic that “has caused the death of so many people.”
“I’ve had Covid and I’ve put two doses of the vaccine, if you vaccinate you do not have any problem playing here, that’s the only thing that is clear,” he said in Melbourne, after winning his first individual match at ATP Tour
.

“For me the only thing that is clear is that if you have vaccinated you can play the Australian Open and anywhere, and in my opinion the world has already suffered enough not to follow the rules,” Nadal explained.

Djokovic “has taken its own decisions, and each one is free to do so, but that has consequences,” has added Spanish tennis player.
“Of course I do not like this situation, and somehow I’m sorry for him,” he added.

Djokovic has refused to publicly explain if he has received the vaccine or not, but he has previously expressed his opposition to being inoculated against Coronavirus.
