To contain the fourth wave of Covid, Italy decided yesterday to shorten the interval for the reinforcement doses of the vaccine as well as apply new restrictions on people who have not immunized.

Among the most important innovations is the ‘super green passport’, a reinforced Covid certification, which will only be available for people vaccinated or recovered and will be valid for the nine months of vaccination.
On the other hand, ‘basic Covid passport’, obtained with a negative Test of Covid, will be mandatory to use any public transport.
The provision was approved unanimously, despite some tensions with the members of the league and presented by the Prime Minister, Mario Draghi.

Under the new rules, those who do not have the ‘super green’ will not be able to enter closed bars or restaurants, gyms, sports facilities, cinemas, theaters or nightclubs nor participate in shows, parties or public ceremonies as weddings or baptisms.
To stay at a hotel you will only have to present the green “basic” pass, as well as to go to work or to use any local or regional public transport: it will be enough with a negative test.
These rules will come into force on December 6 and will remain in force until January 15.

In addition, as of December 15, the Sanitary Administrative staff, school teachers and administrative staff, military and police officers will be extended by the mandatory vaccine.
For health personnel, the third dose will also be.

As for the mask, the government makes a distinction in white, yellow, oranges and red areas depending on the contagion and incidence.
Thus, it will not be obligatory outdoors in white areas and yes in yellow, oranges and red areas (both outdoors and indoors).
You will always have to take over and use it in meetings or big agglomerations.

These rules can be reinforced by means of regional ordinances or measures at the municipal level.
This is what happens, for example, an example in Milan, where the outdoor mask will be mandatory in the historic center starting next weekend, even though this city, as well as all Lombardy, are in a white area.

The controls to all these new restrictions will begin to be made five days after the entry into force of the Decree Law.
In addition, with respect to the negative Covid tests that give access to the basic green pass, a difference between molecular or PCR tests is established (valid of 72 hours) and antigens tests (48-hour validity).

Finally, as of December 1, the third dose of the vaccine – currently available for over 40 years – will be available for all over 18.
