Android mobiles are between 15 and 47 times more malicious’ software infections or ‘malware’ that devices that have the IOS operating system, according to Apple in a recent report titled Building Trusted Ecosystem for Millions of Apps, a
Fact that identifies in the so-called Slideloading or lateral discharge of ‘Apps’.

The company aims in its report that the terminals that have not been manufactured by Apple have a greater number of probabilities of being ‘hacked’ and infected by malicious viruses that endanger the personal data of its users.

In addition to highlighting this data, the brand coated by Steve Jobs has affirmed in this document that “almost 6 million attacks per month” were detected by the cybersecurity company Kaspersky Lab in 2020 on the Android mobile devices of its customers.

To ensure this data, Apple has made reference in this report that the Vulnerability of Android is due to the Slideloading, that is, the installation of external sources applications to an official and safe application store.

“Since Android admits the lateral discharge, the malware has been propagated on that platform more easily. This makes Android ‘smartphones’ be the most common objectives,” the company has clarified in this report.

With this, this document details that “the cybercriminals and hackers are based on the lateral load to disseminate pirate applications, piracy and the theft of intellectual property”, something that, according to Apple, is a disadvantage with respect to its devices.

Apple has defended its security system and has ensured in this report that, in the case that a malicious ‘App’ approaches through the System through the App Store, the company eliminates it and blocks it from its future variants.

Likewise, it has been covered in data from the European Agency for Networks and Information Security (ENISA, for its acronym in English) to highlight the security offered by its devices.
It informed the detection of 230,000 new daily ‘malware’ infections during 2019 and the first months of 2020 on platforms that support lateral load such as Android.

Another point that has highlighted in its favor is the scarce need that IOS users have to install an antivirus program, something that occurs on the platforms that accept lateral discharge, which generates a cost: 3.4 billion dollars a year in sayings
services.
And it is estimated that in 2021 there are 1,300 million devices with a security solution, four times more than in 2016, as it collects the report.

Altogether, the data provided by the report indicate that in the last four years, more infections have been identified on the Android teams than on iPhone phones.
