DOLPHINS HIGHLIGHTS

— The Dolphins’ initial drive started with a clutch conversion on the third down. Tua completed a 9 yard pass to Jaylen Waddle, with a pass rusher bearing down.

Tua’s best pass has always been the slant. He used it well on the first touchdown drive. First, he hit Mack Hollins at 18 yards and then Waddle at 6 yards.

After Mike Gesicki was freed late downfield, he converted the third-down drive to a 20-yard touchdown.

Brandon Jones and Andrew Van Ginkel teamed up to stop James Robinson’s running play on Jacksonville’s first drive.

— The Dolphins’ second drive started with a stunning touch pass from Tua over the linebacker, and into Gesicki’s hands for a 22-yard pick up.

The Dolphins brought in Jacoby Brist at quarterback on a third-and-1. After taking a handoff, he threw an 25-yard pass downfield to Durham Smythe who dived to make the catch.

Salvon Ahmed’s swing pass worked perfectly, and he was able to get outside for a quick 15-yard gain.

On Jacksonville’s second possession, Safety Eric Rowe dived to stop Trevor Lawrence’s third-and-15 pass.

Malcolm Brown started the Dolphins’ third drive by running a 16-yard touchdown. He ran to the right, then cut to his left.

Robinson was stopped by Elandon Roberts, a linebacker. He gained only 1-yards on Jacksonville’s third drive. Lawrence’s screen pass was finally completed when Emmanuel Ogbah took down Lawrence’s screen pass.

Tua was able to pass protect the Jacksonville 10 yard line with his strike to Mack Hollins. This converted a fourth-and-2 conversion.

Brennan Scarlett applied pressure to the middle to make a Trevor Lawrence incomplete. Jevon Holland, a rookie, returned on the next play to stop a Laviska Shenault pass.
