Brian Goldner, CEO of the Hasbro toy manufacturer, died last Tuesday at 58, according to the company itself, only two days after being given temporary sick leave.

Married and father of a daughter, last year revealed that in 2014 a prostate cancer was diagnosed that was being treated since then.
Only one year after starting his fight against cancer, Goldner lost Brandon’s son for overdose.

After arriving at the company in 2000, Goldner became a general director in 2008 and president of the Board of Directors in 2015.

“Since he joined society, Brian was more than two decades ago, Brian was the heart and soul of Hasbro,” said Rich Stoddart, temporarily at the head of the company after Goldner’s decline.

In fact, he managed to end his main rivals, including Mattel, reaching sales of 5,000 million last year.

“As a charismatic and passionate leader of the game and fun sector, Brian’s work contributed joy and laughter to the children and families of the whole world,” he said in a statement.
