North Korea restores its direct communication lines with the south

North Korea restored its direct communication lines on Monday on Monday and urged the neighboring country to maintain a “positive” attitude to channel its bilateral relations.

“The relevant organs will restore all the North-South communication lines from 9:00 on October 4 (00:00 GMT on the same day),” the KCNA state news agency collected.

Shortly after that hour, the South Korean government confirmed that the North had answered its call and that military communications were reactivated, about two months after Pionyang cut communications in mid-August in protest by joint military exercises of Seoul and
Washington.

The re-establishment today of these lines occurs after the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-a, manifold in a speech before the Supreme People’s Assembly (Parliament) its intention to resume communication with the south at the beginning of October.

In the statement in which the North Korean agency announced the return of communication, the Kim regime urged South Korea to perform “positive efforts” for the improvement of their relationships and facing a “brilliant prospects in the future” between
both of them.

North Korea Dynamited the Office that both governments had in the border territory of Kaesong and cut all their communications with the south in June 2020, in protest by shipment from the neighboring country of critical brochures with the regime.

The lines returned to work at the end of last July, after more than a year, but Pionyang stopped answering Seoul’s calls again in August by the aforementioned maneuvers, that the North considers a simulation of invasion of its territory and a
